Zero tolerance for corruption
Message from Benjamin Verlingue, CEO of the Adelaïde Group: "Zero Tolerance for Corruption and Any Breach of Professional Ethics"
Dear colleagues,
Following on from the “IMPACT 24” plan, the “Better Future 28” plan opens a new chapter in the history of the Adelaïde Group, placing particular emphasis on non-financial performance by integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters at all levels of the organisation.
The governance pillar specifically focuses on transparency, accountability and integrity. These principles are fundamental to the conduct of all employees and guide the decisions made within the company. They require ethical business practices, the prevention of corruption and, more broadly, full compliance with the law.
Respect for integrity, transparency, regulatory compliance and professional ethics has always been one of the Adelaïde Group’s core values. Over the years, these values have enabled us to build our reputation and earn the trust of our stakeholders. It is essential that this reputation be preserved at all times, through the commitment of each and every one of us within the Adelaïde Group.
The activities of the Adelaïde Group are therefore governed by a strict prohibition of corruption and of any form of professional misconduct (such as influence peddling, abuse of office, etc.) in any form whatsoever.
To this end, and in accordance with the French Law of 9 December 2016 on transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernisation of the economy (commonly referred to as Sapin II), and with the recommendations of the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA), the Adelaïde Group is currently implementing a robust anti-corruption framework which, as the AFA notes, “helps secure [our] business performance in a competitive environment where values of honesty and ethical behaviour are increasingly scrutinised by third parties.”
I therefore ask each of you to conduct yourselves with the utmost integrity in your day-to-day professional relationships, whether with colleagues or external stakeholders, by fully applying the principles set out in our internal anti-corruption code (attached to the internal regulations).
In particular, I invite all directors and managers across the Adelaïde Group entities to actively communicate and promote these principles within their teams, using the most effective methods to ensure they are properly applied (adapting them where necessary to reflect the specific nature of each business activity and country concerned).
Any unlawful conduct and/or breach of the internal anti-corruption code may be reported via the digital whistleblowing platform: https://report.whistleb.com/groupeadelaide.
Together, let us foster and preserve a culture of integrity and compliance, where corruption and any breach of professional ethics have no place. In doing so, we remain true to the values that unite us.
6 January 2025
Benjamin Verlingue
